Embracing Sustainability: Handbook online

Dear Lincoln City Christian School Community,

We hope this blog post finds you well and enjoying the fall season. I have some exciting news to share with you today regarding our school handbook.

In an effort to promote sustainability and reduce our environmental impact, we made the decision to make our school handbook available online last school year. We apologize for not printing physical copies for each parent, but it was partially a cost consideration not to print. As a by product this step is also saving a few trees and embracing a more eco-friendly approach. If you would like a physical copy we can print one.

By accessing the handbook online, you will have all the necessary information at your fingertips. It can be easily accessed from any device with an internet connection, making it convenient for you to refer to whenever needed. We encourage you to bookmark the online handbook for quick and easy access throughout the school year.

In addition to this update, we would like to remind you that Wednesday and Thursday of this week will be half days for our students. This will provide an opportunity for teachers to engage in professional development and collaborate on enhancing our educational programs. We kindly ask for your understanding and support during these half days.

I would also like to inform you that Friday is Veterans Day, there is no school. It is a day when we honor and express gratitude to all the brave men and women who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces. We encourage you to take a moment to reflect on their sacrifices and perhaps engage in activities that commemorate their service.

On a positive note, I am thrilled to announce that two individuals have stepped forward, expressing their willingness to help with our school library. Their dedication and support will undoubtedly enhance the resources available to our students, fostering a love for reading and learning.

As always, we are grateful for your continued involvement and support in our school community. Together, we can make a difference not only in our children’s education but in preparing them for a life in Heaven.

Thank you for your understanding regarding the online handbook and for your participation in our upcoming parent teacher conferences and Veterans Day observance. We appreciate your commitment to the growth and success of our students.

Warm regards,

John McCombs
