Dear Parents,
I hope this memo finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share how fantastic the first week of school has been for the students and staff. The energy and enthusiasm in the classrooms have been truly inspiring, and we are excited about the journey ahead.
As we move forward, we want to inform you that this week will be a normal week with a regular schedule. I would also like to remind you that we are still accepting students in grades 4-5 and 6-8. If you know any families who might be interested, please encourage them to reach out to us for further information.
I want to leave you with this parting advice. I believe that establishing positive habits at home greatly contributes to a student’s success at school. Here are five home habits that set a student up for success:
1. Establish a Consistent Routine: Encourage your child to follow a daily routine that includes designated study time, regular sleep patterns, and healthy meals. Consistency helps create a sense of structure and promotes focus.
2. Encourage Reading: Foster a love for reading by providing access to age-appropriate books and setting aside dedicated reading time each day. Reading not only enhances language skills but also expands knowledge and imagination.
3. Promote Organization: Teach your child the importance of staying organized by providing tools such as planners, folders, and calendars. Help them develop good organizational habits, such as keeping track of assignments and deadlines.
4. Create a Supportive Environment: Create a quiet and distraction-free space for studying at home if they need to study at home. Encourage open communication, offer assistance when needed, and show interest in your child’s academic progress.
5. Encourage Healthy Habits: Emphasize the importance of physical activity, balanced nutrition, and sufficient sleep. A healthy body and mind contribute to improved focus, energy, and overall well-being.
We appreciate your continued support in fostering a positive learning environment for our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!
Warm regards,
John McCombs
